Self-taught artist Bill (HillBilly) Healy has been creating artwork since his childhood in the 60’s–drawing cartoons, making comic books and publishing his caricatures in the Hartford Times’ Sports' page at age 15.

After a stint in the US Army as an illustrator, Healy returned to Hartford and worked as a screen-printer, sign painter, and a weapons demonstrator at Colt Firearms, all the while creating his own art shown in galleries across the country.

HillBilly Healy is concentrating on making his sculptures, made from found objects, such as tins, bottle caps, appliance parts and knobs. The combination of these objects creates whimsical beings, known as HillBilly's MetalMen.

Through a special arrangement with Popcorn, HillBilly’s MetalMen can be ordered at wholesale. These are all hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind art pieces and a perfect complement to Popcorn’s New Robot Collection.
